Convincing paperwork, but no truck

I'm usually careful, so I requested the VIN and a CARFAX report before agreeing to buy a Chevy Silverado. They provided both. The report initially appeared genuine, but I later discovered it was fake. The salesperson kept pressuring me, saying another buyer was ready to purchase the truck. I wired $45,000. They sent a shipping tracking number, then stopped responding. My emails to info@hpv-auction.com started bouncing back, and the phone number was disconnected. I reported what happened to my bank and the police, but I'm not confident I'll recover the money.
